Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Ltd, through its renewable energy unit SJVN Green Energy, has secured a 200 MW solar photovoltaic project from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd for a total of INR12 billion (US$145.56 million).
Once operational, the project is expected to generate about 455.52 GWh of clean energy per year. The solar farm will be constructed on the Build Own and Operate (BOO) basis through an e-RA (Reverse Auction) of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL).
SJVN Ltd's renewable portfolio is currently at 4.32 GW of which, 179.5 MW is under operation, 1,385 MW is under construction, and 2,756 is at different stages of implementation.
