Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA has secured a contract to supply 45 SG 4.5-145 nominal capacity of 205 MW and a 20-year maintenance agreement for the 400 MW Forty Mile wind project.
The Forty Mile Wind Power Project, developed by Suncor Energy Inc, is located in southeastern Alberta, on approximately 50,000 acres of private land, south, and east of the town of Bow Island and in the County of Forty Mile. The project is designed to be developed in two phases for a total of 400 MW), consisting of 89 wind turbines and scheduled to be operational in 2021.
Siemens Gamesa will supply 45 wind turbines to be used for the first phase of the project.
