Siemens to supply turbines for 350 MW Offshore wind farm in Poland

RWE AG has contracted Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA as a preferred turbine supplier for the development of the 350 MW F.E.W. Baltic II offshore wind project that will be located in the north of the Słupsk sandbank in the central Baltic Sea in Poland.

The project will be composed of 25 SG 14-236 DD offshore turbines that are expected to generate enough power for the consumption of up to 350,000 Polish homes. A service agreement is also included in the signed deal.

RWE has chosen the Port of Ustka for the operation and maintenance of its F.E.W. Baltic II project. The construction of the project is expected to start in early 2024 with a target for completion by 2025. The wind farm is backed by the Contract for Difference (CFD) scheme.
