Iberdrola SA has contracted Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA to supply wind turbines for the 94 MW onshore wind farm project in Spain.
Named as 'Iglesias wind farm', the project will have 16 turbines in total with 14 units of the SG 6.6-170 model, operating at 6.0 MW, and two SG 5.0-145 machines. The order also includes a five-year service agreement.
The project is expected to be operational by early 2023.
