Showa Shell Sekiyu has completed the purchase of a 10% stakes in the 1,100 MW Cricket Valley Energy Center combined-cycle natural gas electric generating facility located in Dover, New York, USA, from Advanced Power, the project’s developer.
The 193-acre property, located at 2241 Route 22, has existing energy infrastructure, including electric power lines and a natural gas pipeline, as well as a substantial tree buffer that will minimize visual and sound impacts. The project features General Electric’s (GE) equipment including three combustion turbines, each paired with a heat recovery steam generator and steam turbine generator.
