Shell Energy North America LP (SENA) has signed a 15-year PPA contract for the 200 MW Sandrini solar park in California with EDP Renewables North America LLC (EDPR NA).

The PPA terms include SENA buying the 100% of the environmental attributes associated with the project, including the renewable energy credits and capacity.

The project has a total cost of more than US$200 million and is expected to be completed in 2022.

The 200 MW Sandrini solar park will be built near Bakersfield, in Kern County, and expected to generate enough energy to supply for about 91,000 average California homes.
