Engie SA and its partners have signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with local electricity company Senelec.
The partners, among which is investor and asset manager Meridiam, will be selling electricity from Kahone Solaire in Kaolack region and Kael Solaire in Touba with a 30 MW capacity each. The combined 60 MW capacity has been awarded under the World Bank’s Scaling Solar program.
Engie and Meridiam placed the winning bids of EUR 0.0380 (US$0.431) per kWh for a PV project in Kahone, and EUR 0.0398 (US$0.045) per kWh for a project in Touba.
