Sekura Energy agrees to acquire four transmission assets of Essel Group

Sekura Energy Ltd has agreed to acquire two operating and another two under construction assets of Essel Infraprojects Ltd, the infrastructure arm of the Essel Group. 

The projects involved are: 

  • Darbhanga-Motihari Power Transmission Project
  • NRSS XXXI (B) Power Transmission Project
  • NRSS XXXVI Power Transmission Project
  • Warora-Kurnool Power Transmission Project

The NRSS XXXVI and Warora-Kurnool projects are set to be commissioned by December 2019.

Sekura Energy is a renewable energy platform backed by Edelweiss Infrastructure Yield Plus fund. 

The deal is subjected to pending regulatory, lender approvals and closing conditions.
