Engie, through its unit, Vivid Solaire Energy Pvt Ltd, has commissioned Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems to deliver wind turbines and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for its 252 MW wind project in Tamil Nadu State in India.
Vestas will deliver, install and commission 126 of its V120-2.0 MW turbines at the wind park in Tuticorin. The company will also be responsible for the project’s civil and electrical works and will service the machines under a 10-year full scope Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement and will utilize the VestasOnline Business SCADA solution.
Commissioning of the project is expected to be done by the fourth quarter of 2019.
