Sapura Offshore Sdn Bhd (Sapura Offshore) has been awarded a contract by Yunneng Wind Power Co. Ltd. for the provision of Transportation and Installation (T&I) of offshore wind turbine substructures. The scope consists of transportation and installation of substructures (foundations) for offshore wind turbines at the 640 MW Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan.
The Yunlin offshore wind farm consists of about 80 Siemens Gamesa 8.0-167 DD turbines located 8km off the Taiwanese west coast and is owned by wpd and Japanese partners. The completion of the 640 MW offshore wind farm is scheduled for December 2021
