Samsung completes sale of 43 MWp Bulgarian solar assets

Samsung, through its unit, Samsung C&T Corp, has completed the sale of its 43 MWp solar photovoltaic portfolio in Bulgaria to Germany's KGAL and Czechia-based Portanero Invest, a unit of Micronix Group.

The portfolio includes 15 MWp and 10 MWp solar projects located close to Vratsa in northwestern Bulgaria, three solar projects 4 MWp each and one of 2 MWp located close to the village of Letnitsa, in north-central Bulgaria, and a 4 MWp solar project located near the village of Veselinovo, in north-central Bulgaria.

The deal represents a total investment of EUR40 million (US$45.8 million). Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) acted as financial sell-side adviser to Samsung.
