Sable Chemicals plans 400 MW PV solar project in Zimbabwe

Sable Chemical Industries Limited, an ammonium nitrate fertilizer company based in Zimbabwe, has applied license approval from the Zimbabwe Energy Regulation Authority (ZERA) for the 50 MW solar power plant project. The project is eventually planned to scale up to 400 MW. S

The company has entered into partnership with Katanga Solar Energy, a local energy solutions company, for the solar project to be located in Kwekwe.The feasibility studies and land for the Katanga Solar Farm are completed.

The project will be connected to the national grid through Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC).
