RWE has signed a three-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Statkraft to provide a suite of power market access services for its first wind farm in central France.
The PPA is closed with Statkraft's Les Pierrots wind farm project. Located in the Centre-Val de Loire region, this 26.4-megawatt (MW) wind project generates enough power for the consumption of more than 15,000 homes.
The commissioning of the project has been completed and it is now operational. The wind farm is injecting electricity into the national grid under the Government’s “Complément de Rémunération” subsidy scheme.
