Zakat Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), in collaboration with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP), announced the launch of the development of a hybrid power plant at Empty Quarter (Rub’al Khali) land port, Saudi Arabia.

The project's goal is to reduce diesel fuel usage by leveraging renewable energy to meet the long-term power needs of the Empty Quarter land port through a public-private partnership (PPP) model, aligned with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Project Scope:

  • Design and develop a power generation facility to meet ZATCA's specified electricity demand at the EQ land port, adhering to the minimum technical requirements and output specifications.
  • Operate and maintain the power generation facility for a defined project term, ensuring compliance with ZATCA's technical standards and output specifications.
  • Generate and distribute power up to the ZATCA interface point.
  • Obtain relevant permits and necessary approvals for the plant's construction and operation.

The deadline for this RFQ is July 21, 2024.
