Renewable Energy Systems (RES) has signed a power purchase agreement with Cooperative Energy for 100 MW of solar energy from its Delta’s Edge project in Carroll County, Mississippi.
The Delta’s Edge Solar facility is a 652-acre site located six miles east of Greenwood. RES will design develop and construct the solar plant. The project will create approximately 350 jobs during peak construction and will hire local labor whenever possible. Once operational in 2021-2022, the solar project will generate enough clean energy to power nearly 16,400 homes annually.
