Black Mountain Energy Storage (BMES) has announced the acquisition of two stand-alone energy storage projects located in the Texas ERCOT market's South Load Zone in the USA by Recurrent Energy.

The projects are expected to store up to 200 MWh of energy each. Both projects, now in the planning stages, are expecting to receive notice to proceed (NTP) in 2023 and start operations in Q2 2024.

Both acquisitions were completed using the LevelTen Asset Marketplace, a platform that connects sustainable energy project developers and financiers while also providing software, analytics and M&A transaction expertise.
