Ratch Australia's 180 MW Mount Emerald wind farm in Queensland has been officially opened.
The wind farm is located on 2,400-hectare land near Mareeba in the north of Queensland, Australia. The project construction involves installation of 53 Vestas V112-3.45 MW and V117-3.45 MW wind turbines, with 3.45 MW each. Towers will be approx 80-90 m high with approximately 50m blades. The facility produces enough power for nearly 80,000 households.
The project will supply electricity to Ergon Energy Corp Ltd for a 12.5 years power purchase agreement.
