PowerChina and Ukrainian company WindFarm have signed a contract on joint implementation of an 800 MW wind project located in the Mangush and Nikolsky districts of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine.
The project will be implemented with about US$1 billion of investment.
Once operational, the energy produced will be sold on a merchant basis. WindFarm is set to sign an interconnection agreement with state-run power company Ukrenergo.
