Coriolis Energy has submitted a planning application to Aberdeenshire Council for a 130 MW wind farm. Aberdeenshire is located in north-east Scotland.
The company is applying to install up to 26 wind turbines, with height of up to 149.9m to tip and associated infrastructure. The project site is located on the Fasque and Glendye Estates, approximately 2km from Fettercairn and 12km from Strachan.
Coriolis Energy is developing the project in partnership with Irish utility company the Electricity Supply Board (ESB). The two companies entered into a partnership in 2015 to develop a projected capacity of up to 400 MW across nine wind projects, mostly located in Scotland.
The construction period for the wind farm would be approximately 21 months depending upon seasonal working and weather conditions. Upon completion, ESB would take ownership and responsibility for operation.
