Ørsted has commenced the offshore construction for the Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farms in Taiwan.

It is located 35-60 km off the coast of Changhua County, Taiwan. The water depth in the area ranges from 23.8 to 44.1 meters. Covering an area of 185 km², the wind farms consist of 66 Siemens Gamesa 14-236 DD turbines, each with a capacity of 14 MW.

Ørsted was awarded the 920 MW Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farms in June 2018. In July 2020, Ørsted signed a 20-year fixed-price corporate power purchase agreement (CPPA) for a corporate customer to offtake the full production of the wind farms. The farms are expected to complete offshore installation by the end of 2025 and be fully connected to the grid in 2026.
