Australia’s biggest wind project, the 530 MW Stockyard Hill wind project in Central Victoria, has faced more delays. Origin energy, the former project owner and now a sole power off-taker, is forced to pay AUD152 million (US$117.9 million) shortfall charge to the Clean Energy Regulator for not producing enough renewable energy certificates.

Australia's biggest wind farm is more or less complete, but its 149 turbines are standing idle more than a year after the original timetable for production.
