Notus Energy has completed the construction of the 102.6 MW Selac wind project located in Mitrovica municipality, in Kosovo.
The project represents a total investment of EUR170 million (US$197.9 million) with Enlight Energy as the main investor. The EUR58 million (US$67.55 million) finance loan was provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Erste Bank Austria, and NLB.
The Selac onshore wind project consists of 27 wind turbines, expected to generate enough power that can provide electricity to over 100,000 households. The company also built a 120 MW substation to transform the project's output to the 110 kV level and a 20-kilometer overhead power line to the town of Vushtrria. The wind farm is scheduled to start its regular operations on November 30, after the completion of the trial phase.
