NextPower III ESG, the international institutional solar fund of NextEnergy Capital (NEC), has completed the acquisition of Agenor, NPIII ESG’s first solar photovoltaic asset in Spain.
Agenor is a 50 MWp solar plant located in Cádiz, Spain, which is currently under construction by Q CELLS, a technology supplier and specialist developer in the solar sector. The construction works are expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2022. The solar plant will benefit from a Power Purchase Agreement with a multinational investment-grade corporate off-taker.
Once operational, Agenor will produce enough clean electricity to power the equivalent of circa 42,160 homes per year.
