Enex Infrastructure Investment Corporation, a listed infrastructure fund sponsored by ITOCHU ENEX Co., Ltd., Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Mercuria Investment Co.,Ltd. and Maiora Asset Management PTE.LTD, is acquiring a 40 MW solar photovoltaic portfolio in Japan.
The portfolio comprised of five solar farms includes 9.45 MW Takahagi Solar Power Station, 20 MW Hokota Solar Power Station, 1.5 MW JEN Hofu Solar project, 1.36 MW Chiyoda Takahara Solar Power Station, and 1 MW JEN Kusu solar project.
Enex Infrastructure Investment Corporation is taking a JPY 11.8 billion (about US$107.2 million) loan from Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank to fund the acquisition of the solar assets. Baker McKenzie has advised Sumitomo with the financing arrangement.
