Mitsubishi, Chubu completes acquisition of Eneco

The Mitsubishi Corporation and Chubu Electric Power have completed the acquisition of the Dutch renewables developer Eneco that represents a total investment of about EUR4.1 billion (US$4.5 billion).

Eneco is actively engaged in renewable power generation projects in Rotterdam. The company is a producer and supplier of natural gas, electricity, and heat in the Netherlands. Eneco invests in well-maintained networks, onshore and offshore wind farms, solar energy projects and biomass plants in the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, France, and Germany. 

The deal is completed through the special purpose company Diamond Chubu Europe B.V.
