Massachusetts has announced that the project will proceed in its Clean Energy RFP, following the failure of the original winner (Eversource Energy's Northern Pass transmission project) to secure a Certificate of Site and Facility from the New Hampshire Site Evaluation Committee (NHSEC) and the termination of their conditional selection. The state's electric distribution companies are now in the process of completing contract negotiations with the NECEC project. Agreements are expected to be filed with the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities by 25 April
