Kallis Energy Investments, a wholly-owned investment and renewable energy unit of Kallis Family Trust, is planning to build a massive 6 GW hydrogen production facility that is powered by solar and wind farms in South Australia.
The 'Moolawatana Renewable Hydrogen Project' is proposed to be constructed nearby to the Moolawatana Station around 570 km north of Adelaide and will have a dedicated pipeline near the Port of Ponython.
The project will produce hydrogen and ammonia that will be used for local consumption and for export.
The South Australian government has expressed support for the initiative.
