WKN Group has announced that John Laing Group plc has taken ownership of two wind farms that it developed in France. The 31.85 MW wind farms were completed on schedule earlier this year.

The 21.6 MW Sommette-Eaucourt wind farm in Picardy, northern France consists of nine Nordex N117 wind turbines. Each turbine was constructed with a nominal output of 2.4 MW at a hub height of 91m. The expected annual electricity production is around 63 GWh. Since starting operation in December 2017, the wind farm has been providing around 21,000 French households with environmentally friendly electricity.

The 10.25 MW Saint Martin l'Ars project consists of five Senvion MM92 turbines, each with an output of 2.05 MW at a hub height of 100m, and is located in the Poitou Charentes region in western France. Its expected annual electricity production is around 24 GWh. Having just started operations, the wind farm is now supplying around 8,000 French households.
