Japan Asia Investment Co Ltd has completed the construction of its 2.4 MW Nakaoudaike floating solar photovoltaic project located in Sanuki, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan.
The JPY860 million (US$7.8 million) facility can generate up to 3.06 million kWh of energy per year enough to power about 680 local homes. Local utility Shikoku Electric Power Co Inc will be purchasing the electricity at a feed-in tariff (FiT) of JPY 36,000 per MWh (US$ 325.80 per MWh).
