Invenergy LLC has planned to build a 288 MW Maverick Wind Energy Center located in the city of Enid, in Oklahoma

The US$402 million project consists of 103 wind turbines spread across 55,000 acres (22,258 hectares) of land. The construction of the project starts before the end of 2020 and expected to be operational by December of 2021.

Invenergy LLC is finalizing the environmental survey and engineering plans for the project.

The approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Air Force is needed to make sure the project does not intrude on military airspace and training routes.
