Innergex Renewable Energy Inc has received approval from the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission (PUC) for the development of the Paeahu 15 MW Solar project located on the island of Maui.
The project is scheduled to be operational in 2023 and expected to generate enough power to supply about 6,900 local households.
In January of 2019, Innergex has signed a 25-year power purchase agreements that provide a fixed price with the Maui Electric Company for the electricity to be produced by Paeahu solar and battery energy storage projects.
