Iberdrola SA has started the commercial operation of the 63 MW Herrera II wind complex located in Castile and León region, Spain.
The Herrera II wind complex is comprised of three located in La Huesca, Valdesantos, and Orbanejoa.
The project features a total 14 SG 4.5-145 wind turbines with a 71-meter blade and a diameter of 145 meters, supplied by Siemens Gamesa.
It is expected to generate enough electricity to meet the consumption needs of 60,000 homes and offset 50,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) each year.
