Russian solar company Hevel has started the commercial operation of two solar projects installed in Russia. The 25 MW Dombarovskaya and 30 MW Limanskaya solar facilities are located in Orenburg and Astrakhan region, respectively.
Dombarovskaya has the capacity to produce some 30 million kWh of electricity per year while avoiding 16 thousand tons of carbon dioxide emissions and saving 4 million cubic meters of natural gas annually. It features heterostructured solar modules which efficiency reaches 23%. The scheme also comprises inverter equipment and supporting structures. The components for the project were manufactured locally. The solar modules manufactured at the Hevel plant in Russia and other components for the power plant, including inverter equipment and supporting structures, were also made in Russia.
Limanskaya can generate about 35 million kWh. The installation will save 4.7 million cubic meters of natural gas by avoiding 18.5 thousand tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
