GreenGo Energy has signed a partnership agreement with HOFOR concerning the financing and construction of a 29 MWp Mermaid M12 solar park located in the town of Fjerritslev, in Jammerbugt, North Jutland Region of Denmark.
The project is expected to generate an annual production of 37 GWh which will supply up to 9,000 homes.
The Mermaid M12 project has achieved zoning permit and building permit with the local government of Jammerbugt and an EU tender for the final design and construction of the solar park is in process.
The construction is planned to commence before the end of 2021 and is expected to be completed in autumn of 2022.
The Danish Energy Agency has selected Sweco as a technical advisor in the preparatory work to offer the task of constructing the world's first energy island in the North sea.
