Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company has completed the purchase of 10.8 MW solar photovoltaic portfolio in Maryland, USA from Sol Systems.
The solar portfolio includes the 7.8 MW Blue Star project in Kent County and the 3 MW Phoenix in Prince Georges County. The two PV parks are expected to commence its commercial operation by June 2019.
The Blue Star project has a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) deal with Washington College while the Phoenix project has a 12-year PPA deal with a wholly-owned subsidiary of public utility holding company WGL Holdings.
