Good Energy Group PLC has announced that it has completed the sale of the 5 MW solar park at Brynwhilach Farm near Swansea to CORE Pisces Limited in partnership with Gower Power Co-op CIC, a local Welsh community energy company. CORE Pisces is owned by CORE Home Nations Limited, funded by Big Society Capital Limited.
As previously announced, the deal was for GBP5.6 million (US$7.2 million) cash consideration and subject to certain sale conditions which have now been completed.
Good Energy will continue to be the PPA off-taker for the site and will use the sale proceeds for general corporate purposes, including to fund investment initiatives supporting strategic growth, efficiency and profitability as already outlined by the Group.
Brynwhilach Solar Park is located near Swansea. The facility produces annual renewable electricity output of 5,350 MWh and powers approximately 1,400 homes.
