FRV to build Masrik-1 solar project in Gegharkunik

Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) together with its unit FSL Solar will build the 55 MW Masrik-1 solar photovoltaic project located Masrik, Gegharkunik province, Armenia.

The company has won the project from a solar tender held by the Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund with a bid of USD 0.0419 per kWh.

The facility, aimed to commence its commercial operation by 2020, will be constructed in a 100 hectares site and can generate enough power for the consumption of 21,400 homes offsetting about 54,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year. The construction phase is expected to generate up to 300 job positions.
