The Government of France has allocated up to 858 MWp of solar projects in the sixth tender under the plan the should award 3 GW of generation capacity in the next three years.
The 107 projects have an average energy selling price of EUR 64 (US% 71.8) per MWh, or 2% higher than in the previous round. The proposed average price by the winners with projects larger than 5 MWp is at EUR59.5 (US$65.17)/MWh, while that for projects with capacities of between 500 kWp and 5 MWp was EUR 67.5 (US$73.93)/MWh. Installations on parking canopies secured an average price of EUR 88.3 (US$96.7)/MWh.
The projects involved are ground-mounted installations and PV systems on parking shades. About 44% of the projects will be built outside the country’s four southern regions. More than half of the projects, or 58% to be specific, will be partly financed through crowdfunding
