Taiwan's first offshore wind turbine with local content has been installed off the coast of Yunin County.
The transition piece and tower of the wind turbine were manufactured by local companies. The mairitme construction of the Yunlin project is progressing at full speed. The wind facility is scheduled to start its grid connection works from the third quarter of 2021.
The project is being developed by Yunneng Wind Power Co Ltd, a Taiwanese subsidiary of wpd offshore GmbH.
