Ence has received the first batch of components from the boiler of the new biomass plant that is being built in Puertollano (Ciudad Real). The facility will require more than EUR90 million (US$103.18 million) in investments. It will mainly use vine shoots and local forest residues as fuel.
The transfer was carried out by implementing all the protocols and security measures of special transport, given the dimensions of the merchandise, which included 2 panels of 25 meters in length and weighing more than 25 tons.
Ence has so far executed 34% of the construction works of the biomass plant, which is scheduled to go online in the first quarter of 2020. Local firm GBS is the manufacturer of the boiler.
