Engie Chile has been awarded rights to develop two hybrid projects in Chile that will combine solar, wind, and battery storage and have a combined capacity of 1.5 GW.
The projects will be located at Pampa Fidelia (920 MW) and Pampa Yolanda (532), two concessions within the government’s Taltal wind reserve in the northern Antofagasta region.
Engie Energia is free to choose the type of technology it wants to install at both sites to reach the prescribed minimums.
