Enfinity Global Inc. (EG) has signed a long-term Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Statkraft to commercialize 34 GWh/year of clean electricity in Italy. This agreement will complement the closing of an additional 191 GWh announced back in January 2023. The 225 GWh/year of clean energy contracted will be produced by the 134 MW utility-scale solar power portfolio situated in Viterbo. When operational, the electricity produced will be sufficient to power 85,000 homes and would offset 91,500 tons of CO2 emissions, equal to the amount captured by 4,200 mature trees.
Enfinity Global consolidated its position as a world leader in Italy in 2022 by ranking as the top utility-scale solar energy company with the highest number of MW for approval during the year. EG owns a portfolio of over 2.3 GW projects in several stages of development in Italy. The company has closed EUR22.6 million (US$24.7 million) Santander Corporate & Investment Banking and BayernLB in financing for the construction of a 22 MW utility-scale solar power plant to serve the new PPA.
Enfinity Global remains committed to clean energy and continues to explore avenues to expand clean energy production in Italy and in other locations it has a presence.
