Enertis has been selected by the consortium Amin Renewable Energy Company SAOC as the owner engineer for the 100 MW Amin solar photovoltaic plant located in about 210 km North-East of Thumrait, in Oman.
The Japanese-Omani consortium, Amin Renewable Energy Company SAOC was formed by Marubeni Corporation, Oman Gas Company SAOC and Bahwan Renewable Energy Company.
The project is currently in the construction phase and is expected to be completed in May 2020.
The PV project has a 23 year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). Once operational, the plant's power output will be used to power PDO’s interior operations.
