Enel starts construction of 13.12 MW Jaguito solar plant in Cocle

Enel Green Power Panama (EGPP), the renewable energy subsidiary of Enel SpA, has began construction of the Jagüito photovoltaic solar plant, a 13.12 MW capacity project located in the community of Jaguïto, in the district of El Roble, central province of Coclé.

The project is part of the investment plan in photovoltaic generation that Enel Green Power Panama carries out between 2020 and 2021, amounting to US$50 million. The 21.41 GWh per year of energy generated by this plant, which is expected to be completed in the first 2021 semester, will feed the local operation of important clients of the commercial and industrial sector of the country while avoiding the emission of over 11,800 tons of CO2 per year. It will cover an area of ​​13.17 hectares and will include the use of approximately 32,130 monocrystalline photovoltaic panels.
