Enel completes the second phase of 497 MW Roadrunner solar PV project in Upton County

Enel SpA has started the commercial operation of the 245 MW second phase of the 497 MW Roadrunner solar photovoltaic plant located in Upton County, Texas, United States.

The Roadrunner solar PV project features 1.2 million bifacial PV panels, expected to generate up to 1.2 TWh annually, enough to offset about 792,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.

The project has a 65 MW power purchase agreement contract with Mondelez International and a 70 MW PPA  with The Clorox Company.
