Encavis AG has announced the acquisition of a solar park in Germany as well as five wind turbines in Denmark with a total generation capacity of 23.1 MW. The sale of the plant was structured and organized by Irish project developer Power Capital.

The German 6.6 MW solar park acquired by Encavis is located in the Boizenburg district of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, some 70km from Hamburg. It was connected to the power grid in 2012 and benefits until 2032 from a government-guaranteed feed-in tariff of roughly EUR0.18 (US$0.21) per kWh.

Encavis expects the plant to contribute some EUR1.2 million (US$1.40 million) to revenues as of the first full year of operation. The total investment including project-related debt capital amounts to approx. EUR9.7 million (US$10.61 million).

The five Vestas V 112 wind power turbines acquired in Denmark have a total generation capacity of roughly 16.5 MW. They were connected to the electricity grid in 2014 and benefit from a government-guaranteed premium for the first 22,000 full-load hours.

Three of the five turbines form part of the Norhede III wind park. The two other are part of the Norhede II wind park on the Danish North Sea coast. The investment volume for the five turbines including the project-related debt capital amounts roughly EUR18.0 million (US$21.0 million).

Encavis expects the turbines to contribute about EUR2.5 million (US$2.9 million) p.a. to the company"s revenues.
