EIB signs financing agreement with Terna Energy for its wind projects in Northern Greece

European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed a €24 million financing agreement with Terna Energy to help fund the development, construction and operation of three wind farms in Viotia, central Greece. Eurobank Ergasias acted as a co-lender. The EIB’s loan benefits from the support of the EU budget guarantee under the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI).

The project included are:

  • 36 MW Eressou Ipsoma-Fourka wind project located on Mount Vermio
  • 8.4 MW Lefkes-Kerasia wind project located on Mount Vermio
