Edison sets to acquire 342 MW renewable energy portfolio from parent company, EDF

Italy-based electricity and natural gas company Edison has approved the acquisition of a 342 MW renewable energy portfolio in Italy consists of 265 MW wind and 77 MW solar photovoltaic assets from its parent company, EDF Group. 

EDF EN Italia is a company that holds a series of shares in companies operating in the wind sector, owning a total of 265MW plants, and a total of 77MW in the photovoltaics sector, along with 16.7% of Edison Partecipazioni Energie Rinnovabili (EPER).

Edison aims to generate 40% of its electricity production from clean energy by 2030.
