EDF plans to build a 110 MW Garn Fach wind project in Powys

EDF Renewables has announced the plan to build a 110 MW Garn Fach wind project located in the south of Newtown, in Powys, Wales.

The project will consist of up to 22 turbines, each will be generating approximately 5MW, and a tip height of up to 149.9 meters. It is expected to produce electricity enough to supply for about to 66,000 homes and avoid up to 110,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.

The planning application for the Garn Fach wind project will be submitted by the end of 2020.
