The EBRD will provide a loan of EUR 5.6 million (USD6.37567 m) to Ekotechnik Shyroke LLC for the construction of 7 MW solar power plant in Dnipropetrovsk region in southeastern Ukraine. The implementation of this project will increase the share of alternative energy in the electricity generation structure of the country.
The solar power plant, which is jointly owned by EKOTECHNIK Group (Czech Republic) and TRYBA ENERGY (France), will contribute to Ukraine's goal of increasing its share of renewable energy in total consumption up to 11% by 2020.
The Finance Ministry of Ukraine replenished the state budget with UAH 1.209 billion, USD 71.511 million and EUR 60.499 million from the sale of government domestic loan bonds on July 24. The ministry also added that 60 out of 77 submitted bids to buy domestic loan bonds were satisfied.
